Pitch and Run: August Isn’t Off. Don’t Pretend It Is.
Everyone is pretending August is a month off it isn't. Global VC just closed H1 2026 at $510 billion, a record for any six month period. The founders closing rounds in October didn't stop in August, they just stopped announcing things. Early miles in disgusting humidity, honest numbers over cold coffee, conversations that don't need a badge or a panel. That's August at Pitch and Run. Lace up. Let's go.
Pitch and Run: Summer Isn't Slow. Don't Pretend It Is.
USA vs. Belgium. Tonight. Round of 16. World Cup is in full swing and we've got a goal in 5. Tech Week is behind us. The back-to-back sprint of Boston and NYC is done. Everyone is pretending July is a month off it isn't. Global VC just closed H1 2026 at $510 billion, a record for any six-month period. The founders closing rounds in August didn't stop in July, they just stopped announcing things. Early miles in disgusting humidity, honest numbers over cold coffee, conversations that don't need a badge or a panel. That's July at Pitch and Run. Lace up. Let's go.
Pitch and Run: Tech Week Is Here. Don't Waste It.
Boston and NYC Tech Week are back to back this year Boston May 26 - 31, NYC June 1 - 7 so consider this our early bird edition, dropping now before the chaos hits. Like our early morning runs, the ones who show up first get the best of it. Boston is new territory for us, no official PnR runs there yet, but if you're heading up the Charles River path is calling and you'll find familiar faces anyway. NYC is where the PnR sessions live Tech Week starts June 1st and we'll be running it the way we always do, early mornings, sidewalks, conversations that actually go somewhere. Lace up. Let's go.
Pitch and Run: Q1 Peak, War Miles, and the Agent Grind 🥇📈
They say the easiest miles are the imaginary ones the ones you plan the night before. The hard ones are in May, when the race is already underway, your legs are heavy from Q1, and the watch is still telling you to pick it up. After a record-breaking start to the year, May is exactly that for founders: no more hype, just whether you can actually hold pace.
Pitch and Run: Record Rounds, Tax Miles, and the Agent Hangover 🥇📉
They say the worst miles aren’t the first ones, they’re the ones right after you smash a PR—when your legs are fried, your lungs are confused, and your watch is still yelling “one more rep.” February was that record‐breaking sprint for funding. March and April are the ugly, quiet laps after the high wears off, when there’s no medal, no TechCrunch headline, just founders figuring out who can actually hold pace when the hype cools down.
Pitch and Run: Gold Medals, Cold Miles, and the "Agent" Era 🥇❄️
They say gold medals aren't actually won on the podium they’re won in the quiet, freezing dark of the morning while everyone else is still asleep. And looking at the current landscape for Q1, that has never been more true for your startup than it is right now.
Pitch and Stretch + Rho Intro Call
